About Donnelly Farmers Market
Who We Are
The Donnelly Farmers Market (DFM) was created in 2018 by two local residents, to provide improved access to fresh fruits, vegetables and other whole foods for the Donnelly and Cascade areas, which are small rural towns in Idaho. Donnelly has been deemed a food desert; defined by the USDA as an area where residents must travel 10 miles or more, for a grocery store or farmers market. We are fiscally sponsored as a non-profit 501(c)(3) of Horizons Lifestyle and Educational Team Inc. DFM is a member of the Idaho Farmers Market Association and a USDA approved Farmers Market. The Market is located at the City of Donnelly’s park, a grassy setting that allows for ample space for 30+ vendors and customers. It is open Wednesdays from 3:00 to 6:00PM from mid-June through mid-September with music and a playground area for kids. Over 15 volunteers greet customers, provide information to assist customers, and assist vendors as needed.
