We are set for the season!

Welcome to our new webpage! It is not quite complete but we feel that it’s at a level that will work for now.  Soon we will have a place to drop your email to receive market updates, and an area where you can access healthy recipes. We also have additions to our vendor list that need to be updated, but for now, all efforts are on getting ready for the season. The market begins 3PM to 6PM on Wednesday June 14th. We’ve got a full house lined up for most of the season with all of our 36 vendor spots filled.

Take a few minutes to review our incentive programs in the “Giving Back” section to learn how to save quite a bit of money on your healthy food purchases. These days, we can all use a little help with the grocery bill! One program not yet listed that will be operational by the first market is called “Veg-Ed”. We have received funds from St. Luke’s McCall and a private donor, to bring this to our community. Stop at the Manager’s booth to sign up for the weekly program that offers you dietitian approved recipes for foods that you can purchase at the market, coupons to make the recipe more affordable, and a snazzy reusable shopping bag. Most weeks we will have a health/nutrition professional available to guide you through food preparation ideas for foods available at the market.  Week one our guest dietitian will be Jennifer Lofy, registered dietician and diabetes educator from St. Luke’s McCall.  Jen’s got an easy style of educating and is full of fantastic ideas. She’d love to see you. She’s got a tasty asparagus quiche recipe for you  to try. You’ll find her at the Veg-Ed banner at the manager’s table.
